Policy

Peanut/Tree-nut Free

All KidHub centres are peanut/tree-nut free. Food items containing peanuts or tree-nuts are not permitted at the centres in order to maintain a safe environment for the children who have these allergies or sensitivities. Any food items sent with a child that are not peanut/tree-nut free will be disposed of safely and parents will be notified and reminded of our policy. In the event that this happens we will ensure the child has something else healthy to eat. If this happens frequently, parents will be charged the cost of the replacement meals.

Other Food Allergies

If any child has a serious allergy in which a certain food item cannot be in the area of the child, then it will not be served as a snack at KidHub. It is imperative that parents inform us, in advance, of any food allergies or sensitivities that their child has.

Food Sensitivities

If your child has a food sensitivity that is not an allergy, please inform us so that we can implement steps to ensure they are not fed those foods.

Responsibilities

• Parents are responsible for informing KidHub Management of all food sensitivities and/or allergies at the time of registration.
• Parents are responsible for ensuring that any meals they send with their child does not include any allergens that are not permitted at KidHub.
