Purpose

• To clearly define when electronics and other from-home items will be allowed at KidHub.
• To clearly define the responsibilities related to from-home electronics and other items.

Policy

With the exception of Storm Days, Early Closures, and special events that are planned in advance, children will not be permitted to use electronic devices at KidHub. We will have lots of other fun activities planned for the children to enjoy instead.

On days that children are permitted to bring electronics, all games/apps being used must be appropriate for this age group (5-12). If the KidHub Teachers see any games/apps being played that are deemed inappropriate, they will confiscate the game/device until the child is picked up at the end of the day.

Children will not be given access to the internet while at KidHub.

Children are permitted to bring in other items from home (e.g. stuffed toys, Pokemon cards, books, special pens, etc.) provided they are appropriate for school-aged children and they understand, and agree to, the risks of doing so.

<aside> ❗ Please keep in mind, and remind your child, that they are responsible for taking care of any electronics or other items that they bring in from home. KidHub does not accept any responsibility for lost, stolen or broken items. Please talk to your child about the risks of bringing valuable items from home.

Responsibilities

• Parents and children bear the sole responsibility for lost, broken, or stolen electronics or other items brought to KidHub from home.
• KidHub does not assume any responsibility for lost, broken or stolen items.
• KidHub Management will notify parents of when special electronics days are scheduled at KidHub.
