Purpose
To ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for the children, staff, and parents at all of our centres.
Policy
Staff are required to complete a variety of cleaning tasks on a regular basis, including, but not limited to:
- Daily sanitization of all dishes, utensils, water fountains (if applicable), snack tables, and food preparation areas (e.g. counters and sinks) before/after each meal
- Daily cleaning and sanitization of all bathrooms
- Regularly sanitizing centre equipment, toys, and activity supplies
- Daily sweeping/vacuuming floors
- Regularly mopping floors
- Daily cleaning of all surfaces (e.g. tables, counters, sinks, etc.)
- Daily emptying of all garbage bins
Responsibilities
- KidHub Teachers are responsible for all cleaning and sanitizing of the centre, equipment, and supplies.
