Purpose

To clearly describe the government-mandated staff-to-child ratios under which KidHub will operate.

Policy

Staff-to-child ratios will be continuously monitored in order to maintain a smooth and safe environment for both the children and the KidHub staff/teachers. We follow the mandated ratios established in the Early Learning and Child Care Act Regulations (Early Learning and Child Care Act Regulations, 2010):

• Indoors: 1 teacher for every 15 children
• Outdoors: 1 teacher for every 22 children

Responsibilities

• KidHub Management is responsible for ensuring enough staff are scheduled for each day to meet the required staff-to-child ratios
• KidHub teachers are responsible for ensuring they are always meeting the required staff-to-child ratios as they operate during the day
